Carlthorp School’s Technology Plan aims to:
• Continue incorporating informational technology literacy with a special focus on using technology responsibly in alignment with our code of conduct
• Increase integration of educational technology by faculty and staff
• Develop technology curriculum and provide faculty with effective strategies for the use of technology in the classroom
• Provide high performing computer software and hardware as well as reliable technical support for faculty, staff and students
• Increase students’ computing skills to support future needs and expectations
• Encourage the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Seek balance between the advantages of technology to enhance cognitive skills and the social interaction needs of individual students
• Provide students with the skills and knowledge to independently explore their individual interests using information technology
