Founded: 1939 as an independent co-educational day school for grades K-6.

Mission Statement: Carlthorp School provides a strong academic foundation in a diverse and nurturing school community that emphasizes respectful values, responsible work habits, and excellence in order to prepare our children to achieve their highest potential in education and life.

Enrollment: 280 students in K-6

Grade Size: Each grade level has two classrooms with an average of 20 students each.

Student to Teaching Faculty Ratio: Approximately 5 to 1

- One to one laptop program for students in grades 3-6
- One to one laptops/ipads, on demand through mobile carts, in grades K-3
- SMART Board technology in all classrooms

Financial Aid and Tuition Remission: Over $400,000 in financial aid and tuition remission is awarded every school year.

Parent Participation: Approximately 96% of families volunteer at the school, and 100% donated to the 2017-2018 Annual Fund.

Diversity: Honoring diversity in all its forms is central to our school community from admissions to matriculation. Carlthorp School has an active Diversity Committee made up of current school families, teachers, and administrators.

Matriculation: Historically, 97% of students have matriculated into the secondary school of their first choice.
