Founded: 1939 as an independent co-educational day school for grades K-6.

Mission Statement: Carlthorp School provides a strong academic foundation in a diverse and nurturing school community that emphasizes traditional values, responsible work habits, and excellence in order to prepare our children to achieve their highest potential in education and life.

Enrollment: 280 students in K-6

Grade Size: Each grade level has two classrooms with an average of 20 students each.

Financial Aid and Tuition Remission: Over $500,000 in financial aid and tuition remission is awarded every school year.

Parent Participation: Approximately 96% of families volunteer at the school, and 99.5% (203 families) donated to the 2016-2017 Annual Fund.

Diversity: Honoring diversity is central to our school community from admissions to matriculation. Carlthorp School has an active Diversity Committee made up of current school families, teachers, and administrators.

Matriculation: Historically, 97% of students have matriculated into the secondary school of their first choice.
