Volunteer Opportunities

- Assist with sales of CS logowear the first Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday morning of the school year.

- Assist as needed in the planning and execution of this benefit for our scholarship program.

- Under the direction of the classroom teachers, the Room Parents will plan and assist with class parties, activities, and field trips. The Room Parents (parents only please-no assistants or nannies) will be decided by lottery. You may not be a Room Parent for the same class two years in a row unless there are no other volunteers. We would like every parent to have the opportunity to participate over the course of their child’s tenure, if they wish. Please realize this job requires a significant time commitment. The Room Parent lottery will take place in the summer. You will be notified in the August Back to School Packet.

- Assist the caterer in distributing the prepared lunches to the children. Three parents will be needed at each lunch (11:10 a.m. -12:45 p.m.). The frequency of assignment will depend on the number of volunteers. This assignment is usually 4 or 5 times during the school year.

- Assist in serving the Friday Hot Lunches (11:10 a.m.-12:45 p.m.). Six parents are needed at each lunch as the food is served family style at two stations. This assignment is usually once or twice during the school year.

- These parent volunteers will greet, guide, or register students, parents, or visitors as needed for school events and activities, such as Picture Day and other school events as needed.

- Assist with school community service programs.

- Book Lovers note: This committee meets monthly to process new books, repair old books, and assist the Librarian as needed.
