Stephanie retired after 33 years of service in Southern California’s public schools, and she is now excited to bring this experience to the Carlthorp School community. Her professional experiences include 1st – 9th grade Teacher, Assistant Principal, Instructional Coordinator, and Principal. She was the Principal at Short Avenue School when it became California’s highest performing Reading First School as well as Principal of Melrose Math Science and Technology Magnet which was recognized as a California Distinguished School, an Apple Distinguished School, and a Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence. She is passionate in her pursuit of educational excellence in all student populations. Proudly, Stephanie is the first in her family to earn a college degree holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences from Cal State Dominguez Hills and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Cal State San Bernardino. In her spare time Stephanie enjoys walking and hiking for exercise, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
