Stephen joined the Carthorp School leadership team in 2022 as the Director of Admissions, and he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Drew University (NJ), and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Pennsylvania (PA).

Having served as a career admission professional for the past 20 years, Stephen has held a variety of roles in a number of different admission offices including at his alma mater, Drew University, along with those at Occidental College (CA) and at New York University (NY). Ultimately, Stephen made the transition from working in higher education, and entered the world of K-12 independent schools. Now, he could not be happier. After gaining admission experience locally at The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (CA), at The Pennington School (NJ), and most recently at Fort Worth Country Day (TX), Stephen is delighted to return home to Los Angeles, and to join the fantastic Carlthorp community.

In his free time, Stephen enjoys spending as much time as possible in the mountains or walking along the beach, exploring the latest museum or restaurant, or traveling within the United States or abroad.
