STEM Day Allows Parents to Share & Shine

On Friday, October 18, 2019, Carlthorp School celebrated STEM Day, a special day dedicated to blending science, technology, engineering, and math to highlight for our students that these four subjects can be taught through "experiential learning."
Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

Led by our science teachers, the day was so magical because of the professional expertise of our parent volunteers who brought workshops and booths to life through “hands on” learning experiences throughout the day. Over 90 parents and grandparents volunteered to help! The depth and breadth of learning that took place is exemplified in the workshops and booths listed below.
