The Clarion Literary Magazine

The Writing Club, an after-school program comprised of 3rd-6th grade students, is proud to present the 2020-21 edition of The Clarion, Carlthorp School's literary magazine.
This year's theme was "Change" and students across grade levels sent in stories and poems about characters looking to change the world in ways both big and small. In addition to carefully reading every submission, our 6th grade Editor-in-Chief, Caroline B., has written a powerful piece on embracing our fear of the unknown. She, along with our 6th grade staff members, selected the winners of the writing contest, and we are honored to share their work with you.

We hope you enjoy this collection of writing from our very talented student community.

Fun Fact: The Carlthorp Clarion was established in 1983 as a school newspaper. The name The Clarion was chosen by the students in a  school-wide vote.
