6th Grade Students Travel to Camp Ocean Pines

Our 6th grade Carlthorp students recently went on their first overnight field trip of the year and enjoyed four days of outdoor education at Camp Ocean Pines.
Set in Cambria along the beautiful central coast, students engaged in a number of exciting lessons and activities throughout the week. Highlights included team building activities, lessons on forest ecology and marine biology, squid dissections, archery, hatchet throwing, tidepooling, and kayaking with sea otters in Morro Bay! They enjoyed meals together with their teachers and friends and slept in cabins underneath the towering Monterey pines. It was a successful trip to camp and a special way to kick off the 6th grade year! Welcome home 6th grade students and we can’t wait to see the leadership skills you learned on your field trip in action on campus this year!
