Chris Lemieux
Director of Physical Education and Athletics
Chris enthusiastically enters his 12th year teaching physical education and coaching at Carlthorp School, now as director of physical education and athletics. He came to Carlthorp from the Northeast, where he taught K-6 physical education in northern Vermont. Chris holds a bachelor’s in physical education from the University of Vermont, a master’s in kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, Administration & Policy from Pepperdine University. Each year at Carlthorp, he looks forward to helping children improve their athletic abilities while instilling confidence and sportsmanship in a joyful environment.

Established in 1939, Carlthorp School is the oldest independent coeducational day school for grades K-6 located in Santa Monica, California.
