Andre Morris

With 26 years of teaching experience — including eight years at Carlthorp School — Andre Morris is dedicated to helping students unlock their natural curiosity about the natural and technological worlds.

After earning his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara, Andre began his career in Los Angeles, teaching across diverse communities in South and East LA, Highland Park, Venice, and Brentwood. Over his distinguished career, he earned National Board Certification (2007), served as a teacher-in-residence at the California Science Center, and completed a master’s degree in elementary and secondary science education.

A recognized leader in STEM education, Andre has consulted for major national programs and curriculum developers — including the National Science Foundation, the Lawrence Hall of Science, Carolina Biological, Delta Education, and the Los Angeles Urban Systemic Program — to design science and math curricula and lead professional development for educators across the West Coast.

Outside the classroom, Andre is an avid hiker, home cook, escape room enthusiast, and ambitious (if imperfect) tennis player. He also loves strategy games, which he affectionately describes as “exercises in spreadsheet analysis.”
