When parents choose an elementary school, they are investing in a foundation for life.
The extraordinary paths of Zane Grenoble ’13 and Hayden Hill ’14 — both recently named prestigious Fulbright Scholars — demonstrate where a Carlthorp education can lead.
As part of the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program, these two Carlthorp graduates earned the opportunity to represent the United States abroad:
Zane (UPenn, Huntsman Program) joined the Binational Business cohort in Mexico City, pursuing advanced international business studies.
Hayden (Oberlin College) served as an English teaching assistant in Bulgaria, fostering global cross-cultural connection.
For Hayden, the drive to make an impact globally traces directly back to her early childhood years at Carlthorp.
“Although it has been years since I last recited the Code of Conduct,” she shares, “the themes of kindness, self-improvement, respect, and responsibility have stuck with me and have served as a compass as I have navigated through secondary school, college, and beyond.”
At Carlthorp, we cultivate ethical leaders, global thinkers, and lifelong learners. Zane and Hayden’s accomplishments are a testament to how Carlthorp’s focus on academic excellence and values-based culture set students up to thrive at top universities and on the world stage.
